In the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, the Berlin hub for creativity, a new world is rising. In a shared apartment five game designer friends are creating their fictitous and magical universe. A universe that soon will be populated by lots of creatures and races you can play in the future games to come. With Hatch & Slay they offer a first glance at their fantastic world.
Myrolit Studios is all about interaction with fantastic places. Inspired by other fantasy and scifi worlds - like from Lord of the Rings or Star Wars - our goal is to create a own universe, that will serve as a basis for all the games and entertainment products we will come up with. There is no focus on any particular genre. What matters to us is immersion, fun and interaction in this worlds, so you really can feel like being a part of it.
Myrolit Studios was founded by Dieu Linh Nguyen, Robert Lehmann, Mike Bezold, Maximilian Bezold and Tino Liesen in May 2015. All five met during their studies in Game Design (B.Sc.) in Berlin and soon became friends. They worked together at several projects and even released two free-to-play games (Cookie Clicker and Elements Revenge). As they basically spent all the time with each other, the desicion to move together was no surprise. They found an apartment in Berlin-Kreuzberg that suits their needs and where they can live and code together.
The Myrolit Universe already partly exisited as a pen & paper system before the company was founded. However it expanded a lot in past months.
The team started prototyping for a 3D-Action-RPG with the working title "Manaeyra at War". Many new characters and stories were therefor created and a first version of the combat system was made. There was only one problem: nobody was aware of the Myrolit Universe yet.
To overcome this obstacle, the team came up with the idea of smaller games that work as introduction for the world and the background story. "Hatch & Slay" was born.
In only five days a playable demo version of "Hatch & Slay" found its way on their website to download for free. Since then the team was working on a commercial release version for the game with improved graphics and gameplay, getting to the stores in October 2015.
In the near future Myrolit Studios will continue developing on "Manaeyra at War". As this is a big project that will take at least a year to accomplish, they are planning to throw in some smaller projects like "Hatch & Slay" to further expand their community and the awareness of their fictitous universe.
